Training

The following information applies to education colleagues only: –

We have temporarily suspended online bookings for education staff due to the DSL training pathway being amended and the need to identify which DSL’s need to access the Working Together course as a priority. To register your interest in attending Working Together please contact Jackie Kelly on 01296 382912 stating which date you would like to attend. Please note the number of places per course are still restricted to ensure a multi-agency split, so you may not get your first choice of date.

BSCP New Online Events Booking and Management System

The BSCP are pleased to advise that their new online Events Booking and Management system is now live.

The new online system should be used to book onto BSCP multi-agency training courses with event dates from 1st January 2019 onwards. To access the new booking system please click on the icon below: –

To book training via the new system, delegates will first need to create a User Account.  Once registered, they will be able to manage their own bookings, access course evaluations and any post course training materials, download their course certificate and view their training record.  Hopefully delegates will find the system easy to use.

 PLEASE NOTE: –

New Online Booking System

  1. To be used for events running from 1st January 2019 onwards.
  2. Delegates MUST create their own individual User Account using their own/direct e-mail address.   The system is not designed for one person to create an account in their name and book places for multiple members of staff.
  3. Old style training application forms (Word Doc) will no longer be accepted for events running from 2019 onwards.
  4. Purchase Order (PO) numbers must be quoted at the time of booking onto an event and cannot be added retrospectively.
  5. Please also ensure you and your agency are aware and understand both the BSCP’s Terms and Conditions and the BSCP’s Charging/Cancellation Policy prior to applying for training.
  6. Please note that emails are generated by the online system to the email address you provide upon setting up your User Account. Please be aware that some items may appear in your Junk Mail rather than your Inbox, depending on your own system set up/firewall, so please check your junk regularly.

As with all new systems we may have some teething problems so please bear with us and we will do everything we can to support delegates whilst we are getting used to the new system too.

The BSCP training programme is currently under review as part of the new Safeguarding arrangements.  Bookings are available for the following courses (please click on the ‘Book’ icon above to enter into the online system for full details and to book on, subject to availability): –

  • Everyone’s Responsibility
  • Working Together In Safeguarding Children (2-Day)

In addition to the above, further events will be added to the website regularly so please ensure you check-in for updates.

Training For Trainers In Child Protection

The BSCP will support trainers delivering basic safeguarding training within their own organisation and are always willing to consider suitable trainers from partner agencies to join the Multi-agency Training Pool.

If attending this course is of interest to you, please contact Julie Marshall, BSCP Training Admin Officer at bscptrainingteam@buckscc.gov.uk  to discuss, ascertain payment terms and obtain the appropriate form(s) to apply for a place. Please note that this particular course cannot be booked via the online booking system.
